DVD UPDATE!

More stuff to be had in the weird, wonderful, wild world of DVD.

IDENTITY

No not the John Cusack flick. Instead a police drama that makes it their business in identifying thieves and their victims. This is a solid, well acted police drama that deserves a look.

DOC MARTIN COLLECTION SERIES 1-4

Not your average doctor. When Doc Martin (Martin Clunes) goes from being a hotshot London surgeon to a small, seaside village as a General Practitioner because of a crippling fear of blood, well it's as kooky as it sounds and a true triumph for Clunes in a role that seems made for him.

20TH CENTURY WITH MIKE WALLACE : AMERICA AT WAR

From Korea to Somalia, join Mike Wallace as he takes ten episodes to show the very nature of warfare and how it has changed in the last century. A very informative series for anyone who is interested in how wars are fought, won and lost.

DEMOB

It stands for Demobilized, when soldiers are sent back into civilian life. In this case the two leads spent four years in North Africa entertaining the troops. Now, back in the civilized world they miss the spotlight, but will it be the same?

MURDOCH MYSTERIES SEASON 3

Murder Mysteries of the Victorian Age with guests like Nikola Tesla and HG Wells. Cutting edge detective work from a bygone era. This is a great series.

BETTY BLUE

Jean-Jacques Beineix's modern day classic of love and what a man is willing to endure to keep his lady love by his side as she descends into madness. The Blu Ray of this film is the best that it has ever looked.

I'M IN A BOOK!!!

Well, not me personally. I contributed to the anthology MONDO SASQUATCH and apprently they liked my story enough to include it. It's a tale entitled Sasquatch Vs. El Chupacabra. Sounds pretty straight forward, but I tried to play it a little different.

Here's a list of all the contributers;

• “I Have Always Wondered What Bigfoot Meat Tastes Like: An Introduction” by Louis Fowler
• “Arlo Felling Exists” by Richard Tiernan
• “Bigfoot and the Bone Face Murders” by Michael May
• “Bigfoot Must Die” by Frankie Marino
• “From Hell’s Heart” by Desmond Reddick
• “Incident at Crater Lake” by Casey Criswell
• “Roadside Attraction” by Matthew P. Mayo
• “Sacrifice” by Shawn Gilbreath
• “Sasquatch vs. El Chupacabra” by Douglas Waltz
• “Strike” by Michael D. Winkle
• “The Ballad of the Skunk Ape” by Jarret Keene
• “The Encounter” by Mike White
• “The Tale of Peter Rabbit and the Sasquatch” by Beatrix Potter and Rod Lott
• “The Tragic Hazing of Bryan Igfoot” by Eric Dimbleby
• “Theodore Roosevelt and the Great American Anthropoid” by Bill Adcock

And here's the really cool cover:

I will give more information as the release date looms ever closer.

ELISABETH SLADEN HAS PASSED

It is with a heavy heart that we must report that Elisabeth Sladen a.k.a. Sarah Jane Smith of Doctor Who fame has passed away at the age of 63 from cancer.
This is devastating. Tom Baker was my Doctor so, Sarah Jane was my companion.
We will miss you so very much.

AND THE WINNER IS...

Pardon me, but I have been extremely ill as of late and it completely slipped my mind that I had not given the announcement of who won the Webcomics Competition.

Drumroll please.

And the winner is...

GIRLS WITH SLINGSHOTS!! Yes, all my future throwaway cash will be in support of this strip. My first purchase will be McPedro, of course, but after that who knows? And why did I pick Girls With Slingshots?
It's all the cactus' fault. That little bastard makes me laugh everytime.
